(03/07/09) Hopefully not! At present, the government are looking for a site to house their geological disposal facility (GDF) for higher-activity radioactive waste. Locally, there's an apparent desire to be the dumping ground for East Anglia i.e. the Tory council supporting multiple incinerators in Peterborough and allowing waste from other counties to be dumped in our landfill? We wonder if the Tories in Pottyboro will also offer a local location for radioactive waste - given the possible financial benefits on offer:
