    Surely some mistake? Peterborough people are apparently highly dependent on cars, so its NOT credible that over 75% do cycle – could it possibly be that some of those who say provision for cyclists IS adequate do so from a car user’s perspective?
    Further, maybe “in the area where you live” doesn’t cover where you want to cycle to? e.g. cycle route at the end of my street (where I live OK), but interrupted route into town, inadequate link to railway station, insufficient parking racks at the Regional Pool to accommodate my bike, etc
