Council completes senior management restructure saving £500,000

The Council has now announced that  a restructure of Peterborough City Council’s senior management team has now been completed. The council’s Employment Committee met last Thursday (12 February 2015) and interviewed for the four new posts which form part of the new structure. As a result, the city council has announced that the following people will take up the new posts from Monday 2 March 2015: Wendi Ogle-Welbourn has been appointed Corporate Director: People and Communities with a salary of £135,000. FIRST EVER Peterborough Portuguese Festival taking place this month! @BBCCambs

Singing, dancing, wine, cheese and a host of other delicacies will be on offer at Peterborough’s first ever Portuguese Festival this month. The two-day festival on Saturday 19 July and Sunday 20 July 2014 will feature a packed programme of events and arts and crafts stalls and will be an opportunity for the city’s 20,000 Portuguese residents to celebrate their heritage and share their traditions with the wider Peterborough community. Peterborough gears up for Pearl Izumi Tour Series return

The Pearl Izumi Tour Series will race back into Peterborough this summer, as the city welcomes the return of Britain’s leading cycle race Series on Tuesday 20 May. Round three of the unique, team-based series will again take place in the heart of the city centre, using the same clockwise circuit that was popular with spectators on previous visits to Peterborough. Britain’s leading male cyclists will be in action and the women’s Matrix Fitness Grand Prix Series will also be showcased to celebrate the return of elite cycling to the city.
