250 people a week DIE – due to exhaust fumes!

As previously reported by NHS Choices and the Telegraph Newspaper, each year over 5,000 people will die as a result of heart attacks and lung cancer caused by vehicle exhaust fumes. “Air pollution from exhaust fumes kills more than twice as many people as road accidents,”  The report added that the model, pollution from overall UK combustion emissions (e.g. aeroplanes etc) causes approximately 13,000 premature deaths a year, with road transport being the biggest source. Will Gladstone Primary School expansion be ready for September 2014???

The start of building work on the “new” Gladstone Primary School expansion took place on Friday 13 September 2013 at 10.00am. But with less than a year to go, the classic question for the Conservative controlled City Council in Peterborough is ……….. will it be ready? The £7million project, funded by Peterborough City Council will apparently see an additional 480 school places from September 2014!
