New competition to encourage Peterborough students to register to vote @angliaruskinsu

New measures worth £530,000 will be invested in order to encourage students to register to vote, Liberal Democrats in government have revealed. The plan is that the National Union of Students will be allocated funding to run a national competition for student unions to find the best ideas to get students to sign up to the electoral register. Welcome for free meals in Peterborough

Local Lib Dem councillor Darren Fower has welcomed the news from Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg that all pupils at infant schools are to get free school lunches from September 2014. In addition, disadvantaged students at sixth form colleges and further education colleges will also be eligible for free school meals.
