Lib Dems penny for NHS would raise £56m extra for Cambridgeshire

The Liberal Democrats have a sound and simple policy that would plug funding gaps for the NHS and social care ………..by putting a penny on income tax! The tax would raise an additional £56,000,000 for NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG, with £14,000,000 for Mental Health funding and £6,000,000 for social care in Peterborough, each year! The Liberal Democrats would add another £1 billion for mental ill health care through putting a penny on income tax. This would equate to approximately £14,000,000 of additional health funding being spent in Cambridgeshire tackling the “historic injustice” faced by people with mental ill health.
