Give £527 pay rise to nurses in Peterborough to address staffing shortages

  Liberal Democrats would end years of pay restraint for nurses, teachers and police in Cambridgeshire by lifting the 1% cap on public sector pay and increases wages in line with inflation. Under our plans, around 2,225 teachers working in Peterborough would receive an average pay rise of £894 over the next few years, while the 1,339 police working for Cambridgeshire would see their pay boosted by £471. Classroom cams Consequently, it may surprise you to know that front line teachers in two schools in the UK are already using body cameras to deter bad behaviour in the classroom. Industry sources have also told me how they are working to develop and support body cameras for use in “non-enforcement” including schools,environments.
