Draft Local Plan for Peterborough 2024-2044

Peterborough City Council is currently looking at its Local Plan for the next 20 years. This process has now reached the final draft submission stage for approval by Cabinet and then it will be put out for Public Consultation, before submission.

The new Local Plan will replace the adopted Peterborough Local Plan (July 2019). This is the final draft version of the Local Plan which will replace it.

It sets out the emerging strategies and policies for growth and regeneration to 2044, this draft version includes proposed policies and specific allocations for new development.

This is still a draft plan and therefore your views are essential.

The draft policies are set out in Parts B and C. The proposed sites are listed in Part D.

The draft Policies Map (Part E) shows the location of the proposed sites, which can also be viewed on the Interactive Map (although this shows all the sites submitted and some will have been withdrawn so double check with the final draft document), where you can zoom in and move around the map to locate sites and other designations. Clicking on a site or other designation will reveal a pop-up providing information about it.
