Dragon Boat Festival Brings Community Together

The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Andrew Bond, and Deputy Mayoress, Cllr Jade Seager, were delighted to attend the Dragon Boat Festival and join in the celebrations with our fantastic community.

It was a brilliant day filled with excitement, teamwork and plenty of cheering from the riverside. The races were thrilling to watch, and it was wonderful to see so many people coming together to enjoy such a vibrant and energetic event. Of course, it was also the perfect opportunity for the Chair and Deputy Mayoress to enjoy a well-earned ice cream in the sunshine!

The Deputy Mayor was pleased to present the awards to the winning teams, especially our very own data officer, Anthony Church on behalf of Beko, recognising their incredible effort and spirit throughout the day.

A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers and participants who made the event such a success. A great time was had by all, and we look forward to many more fantastic community events like this in the future.
