Visit to Park House Nursing Home During Care Home Open Week

Deputy Mayor of Peterborough, Cllr Andrew Bond, and Deputy Mayoress, Cllr Jade Seager, were delighted to visit Park House Nursing Home as part of Care Home Open Week, spending time with residents, staff and families during a memorable afternoon of music, conversation and community.

The visit began with wonderful live musical entertainment, with residents and guests enjoying a lively singalong. Deputy Mayoress Jade Seager particularly enjoyed joining residents in playing instruments, adding to the fun and creating smiles all round.

Following the entertainment, the Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress were pleased to join residents for lunch, providing a valuable opportunity to chat, hear their stories and learn more about their lives and experiences. The conversations highlighted the remarkable people who make up the Park House community and the welcoming atmosphere that exists throughout the home.

Deputy Mayoress Cllr Jade Seager said:

"We were given such a warm welcome at Park House Nursing Home, and it was a privilege to spend time with the residents during Care Home Open Week. The musical entertainment was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed joining residents in making music together. Sharing lunch afterwards and listening to so many wonderful stories made the visit incredibly special. Thank you to everyone for your kindness, hospitality and for making us feel so welcome."

The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress thanked the residents and staff for their kind invitation and praised the dedication and compassion shown by the team at Park House Nursing Home. Care Home Open Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the important role care homes play in supporting older people and creating places where friendships, companionship and community can flourish.
