Civic Service Marks the Installation of the Mayor of Peterborough
A service of reflection, tradition and civic pride at Peterborough Cathedral
Peterborough and Fenland Liberal Democrats are incredibly proud that two of our councillors are serving as Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress of Peterborough for the 2026/27 civic year.
Councillor Andrew Bond, who represents Gunthorpe Ward, is serving as Deputy Mayor alongside Councillor Jade Seager (Peterborough and Fenland Liberal Democrats Chair), who represents Fletton and Stanground Ward, as Deputy Mayoress. Throughout the year, Andrew and Jade will support Mayor Councillor Chris Harper and Mayoress Rita Harper at civic events, community celebrations and charitable fundraising activities across the city.
Their roles will see them representing Peterborough, celebrating the achievements of local people, and helping to strengthen links with communities, organisations and businesses. We are delighted to see two dedicated Liberal Democrat councillors undertaking these important civic roles and know they will serve Peterborough with warmth, commitment and pride.
Everyone at Peterborough and Fenland Liberal Democrats wishes Andrew and Jade every success as they support the Mayor and Mayoress throughout this special year.
